MoU was signed between SecureThings , a silicon valley based US company and PICT for Automotive
Security Research .
5 students from PICT are currently working with SecureThings on research problems based on
Automotive Seucurity
SecureThings has provided to PICT the “Automotive Testbench” to do the Experimentation and
Analysis.
A MoU was signed between PICT and Cypherock for developing a dedicated research and applications
in the field on Blockchain and Cryptocurrency. Also, the cell is assisting Cypherock in the
field of Hardware security.
Navyuvak Entrepreneurs Pvt. Ltd. has signed an MoU with PICT and has offered a working capital
for the budding startups and entrepreneurs of the college.
A capital of Rs. 50 lakh will be invested in potential startup ideas coming out of PICT.
Atal Incubation Centre - Pondicherry Engineering College Foundation (AIC-PECF) is fully
supported and funded by Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), Niti Aayog, Government of India. AIC-PECF
is established to promote innovative technology-based start-up enterprises in India. This
incubation centre will provide a vibrant ecosystem for the young and student entrepreneurs who
are at the initial stages of their venture by providing mentorship support, guidance and
handholding.
The AIC-PECF shall Endeavour to implement the following:
i. Establish a high class incubation facility, including but not limited to:
(a) suitable
physical infrastructure and operating facilities, and
(b) affiliations with sectoral
experts.
ii. Enable support ecosystem for incubated start-ups, including but not limited to:
mentoring, planning, organizing events, lab facilities, regulatory guidance, etc.
iii. Provide preference in support to start-ups or innovators that have applications /
impact in the core sectors of the economy (e.g. agriculture, healthcare, clean energy and
sustainable technologies, education, housing, transportation, Cyber security, IOT, Robotics and
AI, water and sanitation, etc.)
iv. Encourage innovation in the Indian ecosystem, through activities such as, but not
limited to,
(a) awareness workshops,
(b) training and capacity building,
(c)
mentoring support, to early stage start-up enterprises.
v. Encourage creation of new technologies and intellectual property.
vi. Support and carry out any other activity relevant to promotion and incubation of
start-ups in the country."
